libical1a software package provides iCalendar library implementation in C (runtime), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libical1a
libical1a is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libical1a package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libical1a *
You will get with libical1a package name, version, architecture and description in a table
